About

Louis uses photography to capture life as he sees it happening, a snapshot in time. His images are candid, exactly how they play out in front of his lens. Whether he’s walking the streets of NYC or attending large events, he sees things that most would miss.

‘I use my camera to document the unique intricacies of life that are playing out all around us all of the time – the ones which usually go unnoticed as we go about our busy lives. The people who would normally pass us by become the focus. I want people to view my images and see that delight can come from the everyday by experiencing it from a different, perhaps otherwise unseen, perspective. My photos are about evoking a curiosity for normality and asking people to reconsider what they may dismiss as mundane.’

Inspired by renowned photographers such as Bruce Gilden, Daniel Arnold and Vivian Maier, Louis takes the unique observational traits of the street photography genre and applies them to any setting or occasion.
